But before you bring home those fluffy chicks, make sure you have everything you need. Our Bowie store has a wide range of supplies, including heat lamps, brooders, starter chicken feed, waterers, and feeders.

Now, let’s talk chicken lingo. Ever heard of a “pullet”? It’s simply a young female hen who hasn’t started laying eggs yet. Don’t worry, she’ll get there!

Curious about “HC” or “Hatchery Choice”? It just means that the hatchery will pick out the assortment of chicks for you. It’s like a little surprise!

And what about “ST Run” or “SR”? Well, that means you’re getting a mix of chicks without knowing their gender. It’s like a lucky dip – you could end up with a combination of males and females.

Just a friendly reminder, shipment dates can sometimes change. There may be delays from the hatchery or a lower hatch rate than expected. So before you hop in the car and head over, give us a call to confirm the delivery dates.
